10.) TRADITIONS

Throughout the history, mankind has been always committing to doing all their traditions. Culture is created by traditions and tradition is followed by folks.  Harmful traditional practices exist in many different forms. These traditions reflect norms of care and behavior based on age, life stage, gender, and social class. Tradition is something that we know we force to do it otherwise, it could be a very bad thing, nobody can easily believe it though. When it comes to changing or quitting a wrong and harmful tradition, there are diverse people arguing for and against it both for the reasons behind it. For example, in Iran there is a fire festival that young people make this old tradition very dangerous. Behind every tradition have been always a believe or a reason that people commit them. As an illustration in Persian fire festival “people want the fire to take away their paleness and diseases and replace it with redness, which is warmth and energy.”. henceforth, if folk follow a traditional blindness, one day it will be to their detriment. In Persian fire tradition they make a lot of fire and start to play with harmful incendiary objects. Each year there are many amounts of injuries after this night around the country; similarly, in “lottery” by Shirley Jackson, people without considering the fact that how some traditions may be harmful they just following it as a task. By having a brief glance about all the mentioned, living in todays world is world of thinking, it is not the world of harmful traditions which makes us in trouble. Many families recommend allowing their offspring to experience the old traditions but they can choose to continuing it or changing it to better way.
